S1 Steel Transit

Overview

The S1 wheelchair is available with 61 cm (24") self-propel or 32 cm (12.5") transit wheels, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Its robust steel frame and easy-fold mechanism make transport simple. Vinyl upholstery and padded armrests provide comfortable, easy-to-clean support.

Both transit (CS1142T) and self-propel (CS1142SPMAG) models are crash-test compliant and suitable as a vehicle seat per ISO 7176-19.

Features

• The S1 Steel Wheelchairs, both Transit (CS1142T) and Self-Propel versions (CS1142SPMAG) are crash test compliant and suitable for use as a seat in a motor vehicle as per ISO 7176-19.

• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

• Robust steel frame is strong and durable for stability and folds easily for storage/transportation

• Vinyl upholstery and padded armrests offer comfortable support and are easily wiped clean

• Plastic footrests can be easily height adjusted to suit user support requirements, can be swung away to facilitate transfers or removed for storage and transportation

• Attendant or user accessible parking brakes on rear wheels ensure safety

• All round solid puncture proof polyurethane (PU) tyres require limited upkeep

• Rear stepper tubes allow attendant to safely mount kerbs

• 32cm (12.5") rear wheels on the transit model ease manoeuvrability for carer/attendant

• 61cm (24") composite mag rear wheels contain plastic hand rims on self-propelling model which are strong, resilient and lightweight

• Self Propel Model - Comes with heel strap as standard for foot support
