Our History
Drive Medical was founded as Medical Depot, Inc. in 2000, quickly changing its name to Drive to reflect the spirit of the company. Known for dynamic growth and strategic acquisitions, the company expanded its global reach and product lines in mobility, respiratory, sleep, and personal care. In 2015, the company acquired the long-established DeVilbiss Healthcare an innovator in respiratory care, and subsequently changed its name to Drive DeVilbiss Healthcare. This combination created a global leader in durable medical equipment, enhancing its full-range supplier status across multiple healthcare segments. Now in 2026 we are returning to our original Drive Medical brand across all markets. The move reflects both a return to the company’s roots and a brand platform designed to support continued leadership, future acquisitions, and global partnerships.

Our centralized product design and manufacturing are enhanced by regional manufacturing/assembly and local distribution centers, allowing us to meet specific market and regulatory requirements efficiently.
